Trading FMCG out of Dubai since 1990

Nahla Abdulla General Trading LLC has been buying and moving fast-moving consumer goods through Dubai since 1990. We are a trader: we buy products, we hold them in our own warehouse, and we sell them on to importers, distributors, wholesalers and retail chains in other markets.

That shapes what we can and cannot do for you. We buy from many suppliers, so we can consolidate products from several origins into a single container. Equally, we cannot grant exclusive rights in your market, because those are not ours to grant.

What we actually do

Three things, in order of volume.

Re-export. Goods arrive in Dubai from producing markets, are held in our warehouse, and leave again for a third country. This is the largest part of the business and it is what Dubai's port infrastructure and free-zone regime exist to support.

Export. Goods produced in the UAE, shipped out to buyers in our destination markets.

Import. Goods brought into the UAE for the domestic market.

Where we operate from

Our head office and warehouse are in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in the old trading quarter of the city, a few minutes from the creek. We also hold a regional office in Jeddah and a sourcing office in Mumbai.

The Mumbai office matters more than a sourcing office usually would. A large share of the food products we handle originate in the subcontinent, and our people see the factory. That is what lets us specify a product to your requirement.

How we sell

In full containers. We do not break bulk, we do not air-freight samples of commodity products, and we do not operate a webshop. The minimum order is one full container load, and where a single line will not fill a container we will consolidate compatible products to make up the volume.

Every product on this site is published with the specification a buyer needs to price a landed cost: HS code, origin, grade, pack format, carton dimensions, cubic volume, units per container, shelf life, and label languages. That is deliberate. Most trading company websites publish a photograph and an invitation to enquire. We would rather you could do most of your evaluation before you ever contact us.

What you can hold us to

Every figure on this site is one we will stand behind: the pack configuration, the carton quantities, the HS classification, the storage regime. Where we do not hold a figure, because country of origin and total shelf life vary by production lot, we say so and confirm it per shipment on the proforma. A published figure would be right for one container and wrong for the next.
